News24.com has been told that an award-winning TV actor will host a podcast about the process of becoming an actor.
The programme, entitled The Dreamer’s Journey, will be produced by the award-winner and co-writer of BBC1’s The Last of the Mohicans, Simon Williams.
The podcast will feature guests including film director Sam Peckinpah, actor Danny DeVito, actress Emma Thompson, actress Lizzy Caplan and actor-comedian Stephen Fry.
Mr Williams is a pioneer of the digital platform for media content and is well-known for his role as Mr Burns on the hit BBC series Breaking Bad.
The documentary will be filmed at the Royal Court in London, the venue used for the last of Mr Burns’ episodes in season four.
The BBC said it had invited the actor to give an interview, and said it was “very excited” to be working with him on the project.
“The dreamer’s journey has been something that has been on my mind for some time,” said Mr Williams, who was born in India.
“I am very honoured to be the host.
I can’t wait to share my story and to get it out there in the world.”
The BBC also announced a number of new initiatives for the summer, including a series of events for BBC3, including the launch of a new BBC3 channel on 3G and a special BBC Radio 4 Breakfast show to be broadcast at 11am.
The first of the BBC3 events will take place on Sunday at 8am.
